Alright I am finished with the snow and the cold. Today when I got up ( i work Grave yard shift) it was a high of -9 F. during the night while out on FST.( feild sabrioty tests) it was -18F with a wind chill of -20F. We have over 2ft of snow at my house and it keeps snowing. I have little paths running around the farm so i can get to my animals and barn. Tonight it is going to be colder than last night I almost want to work the jail full time until the cold is gone.

We've had a few neg. temps. here, but nothing like that. I did pick up four extra days in Feb., just in time for EJS. OT is always good.

No, not at Moffat. MCSO is Mesa County Sheriff's Office in Grand Junction. I'm a deputy in the Alternative Sentencing Unit through the Detentions department. Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't heard of BIA's..what's it mean?

Bureau of Indian Affairs. How do you like Mesa county. I have been toing with the idea on heading to Colorado. The pay really sucks here in Utah for Law enforcement. Back on topic. It snowed another 6" I need a flag on my truck to find it.

We got another 3-4" last night. There's the winter part.....the job is good. They just did a SO-wide salary review and everybody ended up getting a raise...some as high as 15% above their current. Things are good so far. If I was on patrol, I might think differently, but in Detentions it's been pretty cool.

15%!!!!!!!! You suck. we got 2% We just got another 6" of snow. It is up to my waste. I have gone through 3 snow plowers this season. The cool part is they are all under waranty, Craftsman rocks. Well really we have gone through 5 blowers. The other ones only lasted a day. we kept breaking the shafts in them. the Craftsman we are killing everything. The wind always blows in the winter here and the snow drifts are 4-5' tall and hard as concrete. It took me 3 days to get the drive way cleared with the tractor so i can get out. Snow total as of 2/4/08 2100hr 3.5' I need to put a flag on my dogs.

I didn't get 15%. Not even close. We had another 1-2" the other night, expecting a dusting to 1" today, but the "experts" say it should be in the mid 40's by the weekend. Yeah, that'll happen.

I don't think we've gotten quite that much. Close, but not quite. Today it is a "balmy" 38*-40* and I'm stuck inside working until 6 p.m. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer, and guess where I'll be? Yep, working another 12.17 hr. shift. It's supposed to snow Mon., and of course I have it off. ;D
