Been coming to Moab since the early seventies. Always loved the area. Mostly camped around after the lifts closed. Remembered the first time I crossed Dewy bridge. Stood around a while thinking if I should chance it. Anyways, starting to think I should have bought something around Moab years ago. Been thinking about making the move. What's it like to live in Moab year round? Thanks Peter

um its been a few years since i lived there and then it was only from feb-aug. speaking from that - i loved it - lots of quiet and down time when the tourists arent there. hard to make it financially unless you come with a job already in your pocket. laid back easy pace of life with endless exploring at your finger tips. i canat wait to move back in april!!

If you can manage to find a good, secure, year-round job BEFORE you move, I would recommend it. It's NOT easy to find a full time job that isn't seasonal. Be prepared to get used to HOT weather, too.
I like the winters. Tourists are gone, and it's nice and calm.

MOAB RULES!!!!!!!!
It's awesome to visit and even better to live here. If you are retired, independantly wealthy, or can secure a year-round job, it's so much better. I don't ever want to move away!

My wife and I have talked seriously about a retirement home there. We've looked at some real estate and should have bought when prices were cheaper. I'm still 15 years from that time, but would love to move there when work is not an issue.

If I had the money I'd buy up a whole bunch of land in Spanish Valley, it's only going to increase in value.

I have fantasies about moving to Moab. I'm a service manager at a major Denver dealership. Any openings in Moab? I know there is a Ford dealership but I don't remember about any others.

We have good friends at both dealership, I'd be happy to get you some numbers if you'd like.
My dad is the office manager of Faricy Chrysler Jeep in the Springs if you're famalier with them.

Wow-Suddenly this seems like it could get serious. I enjoy my job now but to live in Moab would be a dream come true for me, I'd just have to convince my wife of this. She's a certified vet tech. I have some GM experience and I'm proficient in ADP. GreenJeep do you know if they are hiring service manager or even service advisor's positions? I would definately be an advocate for keeping trails open and volunteer for local groups and events. Listen to me going on-I'm already trying to sell myself!

Ask for Blair Menlove at the Ford Dealership, we go to church with him. At Chevy, ask for Jerry or Lucy Hansen, They're both RR4W members. Tell them Dave and Dani Adams sent ya!
