Wheeling Topless Trail in Montrose that is. We started out at 11 am on Satuday the 5th. Couldn't have asked for a nicer morning. 4 rigs, all pretty stout from the evidence provided in the pics. Took us just under 3.5 hours to run the entire trail and we even stopped for lunch for at least 30 mins. On to the good stuff..... Me...Up close and personal! Kickin' some dirt off my "shoes"! Colin's Willys gettin tippy! Ken's CJ/YJ looking for airtime! Itty-bitty hangtime! Ken's topless on Topless! One bad azz Cruiser! Not doin' too bad ourselves! FleeeexxxxxYJ!

Looks way fun, and dang pretty too!! Exactly what kind of Jeep is this? It looks like a CJ-6, with a CJ-2 front clip, and a TJ gas filler and rear flares.

Hey Dave...as soon as I talk to the owner, I'll let you know.

Thanks, I was just curious. I KNOW it didn't come off an assembly line looking like that!!

Yes, it is a plethora of various parts cobbled together, but the original vehicle is a Willys CJ3-A 1/2. Don't ask me where the 1/2 came from, but the owner said that was part of the designation...maybe a mid year model?

Thanks, but I still dont get why it has the longer tub. Maybe it is a custom job. The first long wheelbase CJs were CJ-6s. Oh, well it's not like my CJ-7 or Commando are anything close to the factory versions.
