Hi Guys, I recognize some of you - maybe you will me too. If you are like me I remember vehicles better than I do people sometimes. I don't live in Moab now, but did for a long time. Still dreaming about getting back out that way to live some day. Can you guess where the last 2 were taken? Not far from you. ;D

Good lookin' YJ. When I was in High School, I wanted one of those Islander Edition Wranglers sooo bad, I thought they were the coolest things ever!!!!

Sweet...another "square" on the board. People say that YJ's aren't real jeeps. Then why did they make so many and why does everyone want one? Nice ride!

Thanks! When I first got it I was planning to take the decals off - but I don't see many white islanders so it sort of stands out from the crowd.

It's pretty much an F-150 in disguise - rear axle, t-case, AOD transmission, and 5.0L engine are from a 88 F150. The intake is from a 94 mustang, and the front axle is from a 1978 F-150. Coils from a stock Tj up front, modified Ford radius arms, leafs from a stock XJ in the back. Full width axles, 39.5 x 13.5 x 17 tires, soft 8 Cragar wheels with two valve stems, 4" WB stretch in the rear, 8" WB added in the front. Ford F-150 steering gearbox with the pitman going forward - in the stock GB location.
Way too much work to be doing in 100+ degree heat and in omly 6 weeks. I'm pooped

I'll be testing it in Colorado next week. Probably be next spring before I bring it to Moab - if then. Kind of depends on how it does next week.
Now I need a diesel pusher motorhome and a 2 vehicle trailer.
