With all the other 4-wheel drive forums on the internet today, you may ask why in the world we decided to create another one. We have used and continue to use many other 4-wheel drive forums over the last few years, but now that we are living in Moab, I feel that we can help to fill a certain niche in the 4-wheeling community by giving people a place to talk about all things Moab. As all true 4-wheel drive enthusiasts know, Moab is truly the Mecca of the offroad world. Admit it, if you haven't been to Moab yet, you're wishing you had, and if you have been, you're already making plans to come again. Moab is AWESOME.
I have been coming down to Moab since early 1998, and my wife started joining me in 2000. We were able to come down multiple times a year until we finally moved here this past June (2004), after which we became voting members of the Red-Rock 4 Wheelers. We are now both heavily involved in the club, my wife joining the Public Relations committee, and myself becoming the Land-Use Officer as of October.
Living in Moab is truly amazing. We are surrounded by beautiful scenery and world-renowned mountain biking, rock climbing, white-water rafting, base jumping, hiking, hang gliding, motorcycling, ATV-ing, and of course, 4-wheeling.
By creating this site, my wife and I hope to offer people a Moab-oriented bulletin board where people can meet, discuss, plan, and reflect upon their Moab experiences. We hope you enjoy this website and find it entertaining as well as educational.
Please feel free to provide us with any suggestions as we are both new to running a website. If there are any of you out there who are computer-savvy, we could sure use a technical advisor who will be willing to help from time to time.
Thanks,
David (Greenjeep) and Dani (XJchic)
