I've never ran this trail. I am sure I can handle it, what is it like and how much if any body damage can i expect?

Pritchett Canyon is an absolutely beautiful trail, but should not be taken lightly. The canyon itself is about 4 to 4.5 miles long, and then there is a rough "county road" for another 15+ miles that takes you back to the highway.
The trail has a lot of difficult obstacles, 4 or 5 of which pose a significant roll-over threat. Most of the obstacles have no bypass, or if there is one, it is usually no easier than the obstacle it goes around. The first obstacle on the trail is a set of steps that you go down, and a high percentage of people can not climb back up. So if you don't have a winch or a buddy at the top, once you go down, you are committed.
The trail is no big deal for the comp buggy guys, but the average well set up trail jeep will find it a real challenge. You should have lockers front and rear. It is not unusual for 80 to 90 percent of rigs in any group having to take a winch or strap up Rocker Knocker or the Rock Pile (even the bypasses), and it is rare that a group makes it through without at least some breakage.
Above all, everyone PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY ON THIS TRAIL. Pritchett has long been on the short list of trails the greenies want to see closed to motorized use, and every additional bit of damage just adds fuel to that fire.
Pritchett is my all-time favorite trail, and as a Moab local, I run it often. I'd be happy to go with anyone whenever I can... just let me know when!

As far as body damage goes, my husband did bash in his door pretty good on Rocker Knocker, but other than that, it was fine. The last time we ran it, we did come upon a comp buggy that had just rolled on the Rock Pile and ahead of us was a Sami with THREE broken axles. But, it's all in the name of having a good time, right?!!

Hey Greenjeeps, could you fix the spelling on the title of this post? It drives me crazy.

Yeah, that was my wife's sammi. Actually, turned out it was only 2 broken axles, but she also broke the carrier in the rear diff. Then on Yellow Hill, our friend broke the rear locker and bent some leaf springs in her Cherokee. Pritchett will do that to you sometimes!

It was us and a green TJ and we came upon the Jeep just as he was getting it running again. He was with a sweet orange Commando. The group with the Suki was almost to the top of the canyon when we saw them, it was the rolled Jeep who told us about the three broken axles.
