Moab Buisnesses BLACK LIST!!

In light of some recent events (namely the anti-access letter to Gov. Huntsman in the Trib and DesNews) it has been suggested that it's time to use the weight of the off-road community to bring some pressure onto certain companies. And I couldn’t agree more.
I believe that the first portion of the list should focus on Moab. Why? Because Moab's main industry is tourism, with 4-wheeling being one of the cornerstones of that industry. If a significant number of 4-wheelers begin to boycott certain restaurants, gas stations and shops in Moab, these companies will begin to feel the pressure and will either have to change their tune or downsize and even close.
The beginnings of this list come from companies that signed the mentioned anti-access letter. They are an identifiable problem that must be dealt with. This list should not be populated with companies that people simply dislike, or that seem to be a little bit green. This list should be targeted at companies that are actively part of the problem. If they redeem themselves by showing a marked improvement in their attitudes towards access to public lands, then they will be removed from the list.
In addition, we should not only boycott these companies, we need to write a letter to each of them expressing our discontent and inform them that we will no longer be using their services. I will post a sample letter that you can use as a guide, but remember a personal letter always has more of an effect.

THE FOLLOWING MOAB COMPANIES SIGNED THE ANTI-ACCESS LETTER TO GOVERNOR HUNTSMAN. PLEASE WRITE TO INFORM THEM OF YOUR DISCONTENT AND STOP USING THEIR SERVICES.

I saw this list last night on another BB, glad to see it posted here. I am printing out a copy to carry with me in May so I can avoid those listed on here. this should be stickied at the top of every forum here, especially the hotels/camping/shopping forum. I will be writing a letter to send to those in red stating that I will be in Moab this year and will strictly avoid their business due to their political agenda.

I just posted what I saw on another BB. I have not seen the actual ad, if anyone has access to it, I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE IT, then I can confront the shop owners for confirmation.

Cliff Notes: how can we confirm this......lets call em up and ask or find a local to get the scoop......owner of Moabilla who is a memember there posts that he's very outraged and never signed the letter....Moablodging is confirmed to have been mislead when they signed on.....Moabilla owner posts lots of good things about land management and what needs to be done to prevent further land closers.

I've been following this story on several jeep sites, I think it was on this thread where someone emailed Eddie McStiffs and posted the email he got back that sounded a lot like Eddie McStiffs supported everything as stated in the letter.

I just talked to the mgr at Moab Chevron he said the thing he signed was represented as a letter for " responcible 4- wheeling" he has received many e-mails and calls about the subject ... he says that the buissiness ' involved are having a meeting tuesday night to figure out what thay were told and place another ad on the trib and Des. news telling their side and renouncing the LETTER .... LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS it might be good to get some one (hint dave ) to be in that meeting if they will let him in ...
