to be honest our group heads for BLM land. Its free, quiet, and beautiful. We have done Slickrock RV Pk (but in tents) a few times and that was pretty good. The nice part was the pool/hottub option. But I think I can speak for the Burleyfords as well whenI say we like being off road camped away from everything.

Wouldnt a shower and bathroom be worth $30 a night if it wasnt too crowded?

Moabchic has it right. I'm cheap. If I'm going to pay anything, I'm going to be in a nice hotel!

I've always liked staying at Canyonlands Campground. It's within walkin distance from the City Market, restaraunts, and has a gas station at the entrance. I get a spot that's big enough for my truck and jeep for $18 a night. To me it's worth it for the showers, bathrooms, and a place to leave the truck and trailer without haveing to worry about stuff getting stolen.

I like the Canyonlands campground as well, for all the previous stated reasons. We have stayed at the KOA with fairly pleasant results ( the facilities are nicer than the Canyonlands ), and we have stayed at a few of the hotels as well. It all depends on frame of mind and financial status that week, I guess.

Stayed at Moab Rim campground and the price was right, warm showers, firepit, grass to pitch the tent, even had power.

We stay at Archview camp ground about 9 miles north of Moab on Hwy 191. www.moab-utah.com/archview/archview.htmlThey have camping cabins that we like. They have pull troughs for the RV crowd and tenting sites for those at love sleeping on leaking air matters (My reason for the mattresses in the cabins!) There are extra showers and potties away form the main store so they is never a line. The owners and workers are OHV friendly.
