Ran Pritchett as planned. Roughly 22-24 vehicles in our group. Needless to say it was an all day event. Estimated 5 jeeps and 20 toyotas. No "major" damage to any of the vehicles, but we still didn't hit the pavement until 9 p.m. (Couple of broke birfields and sheared bolts on a front driveline). Ate dinner at the Diner and left for G.J. after our plans had changed. Got home around 1 a.m. this morn. With all the wind and sand blowing around yesterday, I think my camera may have finally ingested enough grit to decide to stop working. IF I can get it turned on and can download the pics, I will post them in the next day or so.

Not that I can recall. There's was a Willy's but it is bright orange. The only yellow vehicle was a CJ-7 with green flames.

Okay, that's good. We got stuck behind a huge group of a**hats most of whom were in nearly stock vehicles. There was 3 of us in obviously built rigs and they would not let us by. Finally after a good 40 minutes of following them one of our group went and asked if we could get by. They said they would try, but kept right on going at their snail's pace. It was irritating to say the least! So just wanted to make sure you weren't part of that!

Now that I have actually looked at your avatar, I think I remember seeing your group pass the big group around Rocker Knocker or just b4 that. They were definitely a bunch of A**hats in that group. [rant]I heard from a few in their group that they left a few of the wounded to fend for themselves towards the end of the day, instead of helping them make it back to civilization. My thoughts on that remind me of the old Pace Picante Sauce commercials where they say "Get a Rope!" If they're real friends, you never leave a man or woman behind![/rant]

TRUE DAT BROTHER, TRUE DAT!!!!!!
I just had an experiance where I'd have been WAY screwed if not for the huge amount of unselfishness shown by some fellow wheelers.

[/rant]Yeah, we had just gotten around Idiots-R-Us right before Rocker Knocker. We ended up spending a fair bit of time at RK due to some carnage, but that group is one of the reasons we all turned around there and didn't go on to the Rock Pile. We were all planning on going to the end and THEN turning around to run it back out, but there was no way we wanted to be anywhere near them once they got up by the Rock Pile. It really wouldn't surprise me in the least that they were leaving people. We watched them almost roll a Jeep on a relatively non-descript hill climb and then they all went for a fairly difficult obstacle that there is no way half of them would make. It's fine if you want to take an open/nearly stock vehicle up Pritchett, but at least be with people who know what the h*ll they are doing. And freakin' pull over for the people who are equipped to run a trail of that genre!!!!
