Yesterday a group of us ran Steelbender. XJchic, moabchic, mrsburleyford, burleyford, tjboy, broncojr, and others. We had a great time and pretty good weather. No breakages, and only a couple "interesting predicaments"!! Here's two of them, tjboy catching some good air under that front tire! ;D Me just trying REALLY hard to roll More pics to follow.

Yeah, Dave gave us more excitement than we wanted.
We did have a human casualty. One of the group slipped on sand on a rock and beat his knee up pretty good. Poor guy.
I made some comments about Steel Bender under the President's Day weekend thread.

Here is mrsburleyford's comments, So, for all the nasty weather predictions, it turned out to be a great weekend. It only rained at night. The days were cloudy/sunny/cool/slightly less cool (except of course Monday morning was down right NICE ). We had to deal with some mud, but nothing un-do-able (sliding uncontrollably downhill only adds to the excitement, right? ). On Saturday we did Cliff Hanger to just past the cliff ledge and then Poison Spider to the waterfall. We were going to the Wedge, but there was a broken Rodeo up ahead and it was getting late, so we just turned around there. On Sunday we did Steel Bender. We had a few moments of almost too much excitement, but then people got their tires back on the ground. The only breakage was in the hotel parking lot Monday morning. One of the students with us was tightening his radius arm and broke the bolt. It was towed to Moab Outpost and welded. It was a good trip.
