I'm still a little confused about the trail closeres. Is EVERY trail closed EVERY day the Safari is using it, or is it just the most popular ones like PSM, GBR, GS, Pritchett, BTR, MOAB RIM, etc.
Because if EVERY trail is closed EVERY day the Safari is using it, then there is not one day that anyone else can run Hells Revenge since the trail is being used as "tip toe" on Wednesday, the seemingly only day off non-use.

Hell's Revenge is not closed only regulated to one way from the start to the radio towers for the EJS. Todd

Thanks for the reply. This should all be pretty interesting. I totally understand the reason for the restrictions. Moab is a zoo during the Safari. I usually run at least 1 organized trail, then just wing it and run whatever. This year I registered for 2 a little late to make the lottery, so who knows what I'll be run'n.

Does that answer all your questions?

Yeah I think I'm good, just excited to get my trail info. There's a possibility I may run Metal Masher on tuesday, which I think you are leading. It was my second choice after Steel Bender. But who knows what's filled and what's not.

Does that answer all your questions? Well now I have one, are all the trails closed to un-registered traffic on the days that Safari is using it or just the major ones?

As I understand it it's just the most popular ones. GreenJeep can probably get us an accurate list. It just goes to show you and I are a little confused, just think how many people are oblivious to this until they get there.

Last EJS my wife got roped into being a monitor that stopped people from going on Cliff Hanger. What she was told was that monitors were going to be only on the trails that had to turn around and leave by the same entrance. The BLM required it so people would not pull over and widen the trails. Once the EJS group finished the trial, the monitors left.

Dave- correct me if I'm wrong, but I think on trails like Golden Spike, aren't the monitors only holding up traffic for a couple of hours so that the official group can head out uninterrupted. Once they've got a "head start" they'll will reopen the trail to the public.

Trail monitors will be on site a minimum of 4 hours, some in and out trails they can be there until the group is off the trail.
