Back in 1976, I bought a set of Desert Dog Formula (strictly offroad tires) from the local B.F. Goodrich tire store, which is no longer around. Has any of y'all heard of that tire, now they had a highway use brand under the same name also, the offroad tires were floatational tires with real aggressive tread design resembling tractor tire tread, and the highway use ones looked simular to the goodyear T/A's. I tried finding that brand tire but I don't think they make them anymore. I remember readin an article some time ago, that mentioned they were made by Armstrong. I have seen some Micky Thompson tire that are simular that has a slightly different aggressive tread design. I did alot of muddin in the Mississipi River bottoms and those tires would get me through some stuff that would make any tire manufacturer proud.

The name sounds familier, but that's about it. If you want ultra aggressive, go for Super Swamper Boggers.

Oh yea, them super swampers look unstopable. Unless you're wheeling in the rocks. We have done some "unscientific" research on super swampers vs. any other tire and to us, it seems they don't hook up as good on rocks as the other brands. Bias vs. Radial? Soft vs. Hard tread compound? Who knows? I won't buy them. Just my opinion.

The closest thing to rocks over here, is the pavement and the gravel on the roads, other than that, we're strictly pure black gumbo. The kind of stuff that would make any farmers proud. ;D
