Too funny. Let's see, Ford had the huge cab, so Dodge finally came out with a crew cab you can actually fit people in the back of, but it only comes in a short bed.
Second, Ford has owned Cummins for quite a while now. (6 years I think)

IMHO the new Mega Cab looks weird. I haven't seen the inside of one yet, but I know the backseat of our Ford crew cab is it's own continent! I just found out about Ford owning Cummins for awhile, I wonder why they haven't tried a Cummins powered Ford yet?

(6 years I think) Yeah, I know Ford owns Cummins, and it's only a matter of time before they put one in their own trucks; which will finally prove that even Ford realizes that the Cummins is a better motor than the Powerstroke. I've also heard that Dodge has been planning on putting in Cat diesels if or when they lose the Cummins. A Cat in a Dodge would be SWEET!!!!!!!!

Shhhhhhhhh. I am way more impressed now that I know that Ford OWNS Cummins though. They probably wanted to give Dodge a head start, by letting them actually use it first.

Ford bought Cummins about 5-6 years ago at that time Dodge had a contract with Cummins for a certian #of years to provide the engines for their trucks ... as I understand it ford had to honor that contract for those years as a stipulation to the sale ... when that contract runs out I would expect to see some type of Cummins engine show up in a Ford ... I'm not sure who is building the power stroke now but a while back Fords diesel's were built by International Harvester.... an interesting point was at that time was thet Ford didn't allow those engines to be turbo charged (without voiding the warranty) as IH had designed them to be..
