north of i-70approx mm 129 i think the area is called ghost rock. theres a road under i-70 and a cattle gate. the road heads north to duchmans arch and devils racetrack. the road so of i-70 goes to swasey cabin, reds canyon . its coser to us than moab so thats were me and the wife usually play. check it out its pretty cool.

We've been in those areas. We were hiking though, so don't have any input on the 4-wheeling.

Years ago, we were down in the area on a trip with all the kids. We were fortunate enough to go through Little Wild Horse slot canyon when there was water in it (but no chance of flash floods). Our daughter Michelle was up to her armpits in brownish/red, muddy water, as we went through one spot. Her white tank top was never the same again. ;D

i believe that was crack canyon ,where the tree was.
