I love my Chevy drivetrained Commando. ;D speaking of your 'mando', who did the cage? does it fit under the hard top? do you still have the back seat in it?

speaking of your 'mando', That's funny, I have never heard them called that before! It was in when I bought it, but I think it was put in at Advanced 4WD in Salt Lake. does it fit under the hard top? Yes. do you still have the back seat in it? Yes, although I don't know if it is the stock back seat. If you like I can post up some detailed cage pics.

cage pics would be cool. does it tie into the frame or just to the body? Just the body right now, but tieing it in to the cage wouldn't be too hard. Here are some pics the previous owner took right after the cage was finished. On mine it has a part that bolts together so the cage is still removable, if it was all solid the backend of the cage wouldn't be able to fit out of the tub. See arrows, Here is with the top on,

You're welcome, it's probably not how I would have designed the cage, but it works. it has the big stupid mud flaps. Mud flaps suck! Thank goodness Moab PD is pretty laidback about things like that. Stupid Utah lift/mud flap laws

it has the big stupid mud flaps. Don't get me started on mud flaps. I got pulled over a few months ago for no mud flaps and got a fix-it ticket with a serious threat of a real ticket if we didn't get flaps. Burleyford (my husband) found removeable mud flaps. He installed them, I took it to the local sheriff's office (where the officer couldn't believe someone had given me a ticket for no mud flaps ), then he took them off. At least we have them.

south salt lake got me for no flaps, no front plate, no proof of valid insurance(i had an expired ins. card not the current one) and obstructed view becaus i had a giant moab sticker in the center of the back window. talk about a waist of time and paper.
it was one big fat fix-it ticket, so i had to peel the sticker, install flaps, drill holes in my bumper to install a front plate(not to mention i had to get new plates because i misplaced the other plate) and had to get my ins. company to fax a letter to the courts stating that i was insured on the day of the ticket.
what a PITA.

That's another reason, JENNIFER, to move to Moab. The cops don't care what you drive around town. ;D
